چکیده

Background: Following an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture, proprioceptive deficiency may be responsible for functional balance defects and joint instability. Recently, using transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) or biofeedback has been recommended athletes with ACL rupture. Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the effects of tDCS modalities while performing contraction exercises in athlete Methods: Thirty-three rupture were randomly divided into three groups tDCS, biofeedback, control, 11 people each group. All underwent a ten-session training intermittent contractions lower extremity muscles standing position at different knee angles, including 30, 45, 90 degrees flexion during four weeks. The control group received no except exercises. subjects evaluated both before end interventions. proprioception measured as rate absolute error reconstruction was assessed by digital photography technique angles degrees. star excursion test eight directions. measurements carried out on injured limb. Results: results showed significant difference among regarding all variables related (P > 0.05). Intra-group comparison (before after intervention) indicated that significantly improved directions < Moreover, six directions, anterior-lateral posterior, also flexion. Conclusions: Although did not show large groups, modalities, along isometric exercises, have reduced well balance. Therefore, it these should included rehabilitation program targeting ACL-deficient subjects.

Enhancement of Visuospatial Working Memory by Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) on Prefrontal and Parietal Cortices

Objective: Previous studies have reported dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) and posterior parietal (PPC) activation during the performance of spatial working memory (SWM), so we decided to investigate the comparison of Transcranial Direct current stimulation (tDCS) effect between these two areas. Methods: Fifty-four healthy right-handed students (27 female, 27 male; age= 24.3±.2 years) w...

Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) and language

Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), a non-invasive neuromodulation technique inducing prolonged brain excitability changes and promoting cerebral plasticity, is a promising option for neurorehabilitation. Here, we review progress in research on tDCS and language functions and on the potential role of tDCS in the treatment of post-stroke aphasia. Currently available data suggest that...

Comparing the Effectiveness of Neurofeedback and Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) in Reducing Symptoms of Women with Migraine

Background and Objective: Migraine is a neurological syndrome that involves one-way or two-way recurrent headaches with a moderate to severe severity and lasts between 2 and 72 hours. Chronic migraines occur for about 3 months and at least 15 days or more per month, with a global incidence of 1.4 to 2.2 percent. The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of neurofeedback and transcr...
